Additional Learning Needs
At Tre Uchaf Primary School we pride ourselves on our strong inclusive ethos and understanding of Additional Learning Needs (ALN). We aim to provide the opportunity for all children to develop to their full potential.
We are incredibly fortunate to have excellent staff with a wide breadth of experience and training linked to ALN which we utilise to support our children in their learning and wellbeing. Developing strong partnerships between home and school is something we strive to achieve to ensure we can provide what is best for our learners.
We offer a range of support for a variety of Additional Learning Needs, both for our pupils within mainstream classes and within our 2 Specialist Teaching Facilities (STF's) through universal provision, targeted support and Individual Learning Plans (IDPs). .
Please see our area of need pages to keep you up to date with strategies and information.
Mrs Galsworthy, our Additional Needs Co-ordinator, for our mainstream classes, is available on Tuesdays/Wednesdays and Thursdays to help and make links with families and external agencies. She also works alongside our Educational Psychologist who is Bernita DeWet. Mrs Morris, our STF manager and teacher is available on Thursday mornings.
If you would like to speak to Mrs Galsworthy or Mrs Morris or to visit the school, please speak to Mrs Seager, office manager, who will be more than happy to make an appointment for you to visit our school. She may be contacted via the school office on 01792 893682.
